There are some that believe non-disclosure agreements (NDA) are made to be broken. Apparently this was the thought process of many that were invited to test drive the early preview version of the Windows Phone 8.1 SDK.
But hey, as long as someone doesn’t lose an eye!
Anyway, it took less than 24 hours for general information, specific details, and screenshots to surface, showing the upcoming mobile operating system in (most of) its glory.
This developer preview version is still without some of the more high-profile features like the anticipated Cortana voice assistant, the updated Bing Search, the shiny new notification center and other such goodies.
But it still is feature packed as far as refreshes of mobile OS go.
In fact, it is the biggest update ever to Windows Phone in terms of features — if we set aside the transition from Windows Phone 7 to Windows Phone 8 and the kernel and architecture changes it brought around.
We have covered many of these changes in sumptuous detail recently, but a slew of new screenshots have made their way to the web, courtesy of famed leaker AngelWZR.
