The small and medium business market has been a bit of a stronghold for Toshiba, with the company finding remarkable success with its compact customizable Tecra lineup of laptops in this market.

And now Toshiba has unveiled two new members in the family — the Tecra Z40 and the Tecra A50.

Specifications wise, both these devices bring in the goods. The Tecra Z40 notebook comes with the choice of a 14.1-inch HD or HD+ screen, and buyers can opt for the kind of processor they want to power their device.

Intel Core i3, i5 and i7 are on offer along with up to 16GB of memory.

Next up is storage, and Toshiba offers the option of adding a 500GB 7200 RPM hard disk, or a 512GB SSD. Also available is a backlit keyboard.

The Tecra A50 is a slightly larger device, and comes with a 15.6-inch HD display. The aforementioned Intel processor options are available here, again with 16GB of memory, but with an extra Intel HD 4600 graphics processing.

Storage options here include a 1TB hard drive or 512GB SSD.

Both models offers standard connectivity options like WiFi, Bluetooth and a webcam, and come with Windows 8.1 right out of the box. These two laptops are available for purchase from the official Toshiba website, with prices for both starting at $799.
