Windows Phone fans with Verizon in the US, eagerly waiting for the Nokia Lumia 929 to launch, can now rest a bit easy. The wireless network is rumored to bring the smartphone to market next week.

AT&T is also launching the Lumia 1520 along with the Lumia 2520 tablet on November 22, and when you throw in the Xbox One launch, this is as big a week as any for devices powered by Microsoft’s software.

Having said that, Verizon is so far mum on the details. It does have a registration page up for the Lumia 2520, but plans for the smartphone launch are still under wraps. Still, there is gossip from a moderately credible source that something big planned this Thursday.

NokiaPowerUser claims to have received a tip from someone claiming to be a Verizon insider, suggesting that the Big Red is gearing up to launch the Lumia 929 on November 21.

Anyway, if this rumor holds true, it means that Verizon will be launching the Lumia 929 (and the Lumia 2520, by that account) a day earlier in the US than AT&T. Previous rumors have pointed the launch of the Nokia Lumia 929 at Verizon in the last two weeks of November, so we may be onto something here.

But that’s not even the remotely interesting bit.

Seeing as how close these launches are happening to Black Friday, Verizon will most probably run some special promotions on both the Windows Phone device and the Windows RT 8.1 powered one. We should know more in the coming days.
