The Lumia 920 and 820 aren’t the only Windows Phone 8 devices getting wireless charging. The US carrier Verizon has now officially confirmed that the HTC 8X will in fact get wireless charging, as was rumored before.

The HTC 8x will use the Qi wireless charging standard, like the Lumia devices. It is worth noting that ONLY the Verizon version of the HTC 8X will feature wireless charging.

T-Mobile and AT&T’s 8X won’t support the feature. If you are interested in getting your hands on the HTC 8x, it is now available for preorder for $199. You can also get the Lumia 822 preordered from Verizon for $99.

Both devices should actually ship before Thanksgiving.

The bad news about Verizon is that the pricing isn’t nearly as competitive as what we are seeing with AT&T. Are you interested in a Windows Phone 8 device? Which carrier do you plan on going with?
