If there is a thing called the leak of the week, then there surely is another that can be labeled the week of the leaks. And this was it. One leak after another, one screenshot after the next, one tweet after the other, one rumor after the previous, these past few days had it all.

Here is a look at some of these leaked details, and then some:

Listing of the Week

Whether Nokia will dive headfirst with an Android powered handset, now that the Windows Phone platform has started conquering the low end and midrange markets, is a point of curiosity. Nevertheless, this retailer listing of the Nokia Normandy handset aims to set things straight. The crowd is interested.

Hoax of the Week

What is quite possibly the most sophisticated feature of Windows Phone 8.1 is also probably the most anticipated. The rumored Cortana voice assistant made an appearance in a video that was later found out to be an elaborate hoax. All in good fun, though. The crowd, however, was disappointed.

Feature of the Week

When you have a million different feature in modern operating systems, it is quite remarkable to see one creating the stir that the Boot to Desktop option caused. There are unconfirmed reports that the software titan may turn it on by default in Windows 8.1 Update 1. The crowd is absorbed.

Selection of the Week

With Ford chief Alan Mulally finally out of the race, Redmond’s cloud boss easily became the man destined for the CEO hot seat. Many now believe that the search is almost over, only formalities remain, and an official announcement is coming in a few days. The crowd waits with abated breath.

Screenshot of the Week

While we also got our first look at the separate volume control functions that Microsoft is preparing for Windows Phone 8.1, the biggest ripples were reserved for an image that reveals a certified Metro app running with a taskbar active underneath it. The crowd went wild.
