I think I need to restart my series of posts “Who does Steve Ballmer work for?“.

In my experience, the closer Microsoft gets to releasing a new Operating System, the more reckless the comments Steve Ballmer tends to make.

He tends to forget that his job is to put the company’s best foot forward and try to put lousy mistakes behind them.

His quote.

Mr Ballmer said: “We got some uneven reception when [Vista] first launched in large part because we made some design decisions to improve security at the expense of compatibility. I don’t think from a word-of-mouth perspective we ever recovered from that.

Steve, I think Microsoft was recovering with Windows 7 but if you insist, I’ll defer to you.

Confessions are for priests, propaganda is for journalists.
