Looks to me like the problem isn't related to the router but this machine seems to be having problems.
Do you have any type of third party anti virus software installed?
Have you tried starting in safe mode with networking to determine if the problem is caused by an installed software?
If you can post a screen shot of the ipconfig/all it would be helpful.
I've had this problem for a while now. Simply put, Modem to Computer Ethernet connection works just fine. My Belkin N+ Wireless Router F5D8235-4 v2 worked ever since I got it with no problems at all just randomly didn't want to connect to the internet. Said “”Ethernet” didn't have a valid ipconfig”. I borrowed a friends old wireless router, Netgear 54mbps wireless router WGR614 v7-vc, and the problem it showed for me on that is that the DNS server is not responding. How can I fix this problem? I can access the Netgear router no problem but I tried several ip in the address bar to get to my belkin settings and no go.
p.s The internet works AS SOON as I plug in my belkin router but as soon its “starting” up it quickly disconnects.
