You can now download a shiny new preview version of Redstone 4, as Microsoft has just unleashed Windows 10 build 17035 for Insiders enrolled in the Fast ring of the program.
As the company detailed, this version is available on both the Fast ring and Skip Ahead channels.
Right off the bat, Redmond has revealed that there is a bug in this build that causes issues with PCs with AMD processors. For this reason, the software titan has blocked computers running these CPUs from installing this version, and is working on a fix.
And now for the improvements.
There is a ton here!
For starters, we finally get the handy ability of muting a tab in the Microsoft Edge web browser. This can be accomplished via the icon in the tab, and the feature is also available from the context menu that pops up when right clicking.
You can also save a free EPUB ebook right from Edge, from now on.
Microsoft also added new context menu options for book, including View in Microsoft Store, Pin to Start, Refresh books, while renaming the Remove from here option to Remove from device. Also new is the Near Share feature that allows the wireless sharing of files and URLs to nearby PCs.
Plenty of improvements have also made the cut for the Settings in the Windows Update section, Sound Settings, and Ease of Access.
Touch keyboard also sees a bunch of new additions, including an acrylic background, and the standard touch keyboard layout options is now available for 190+ more keyboards in different languages. Handwriting panel improvements are also in, and it now recognizes corrections more accurately.
Microsoft lists a bunch of other features, changes, improvements, and bug fixes for PCs at the link above, so give it a read before installing this new build.
