Windows 7 in Review Eye On Windows

Windows 7 in Review

Windows XP has become the staple operating system for personal computers. For the past 8 years it has been the operating system of choice for corporations, gamers, and college students alike. When Microsoft released Windows Vista everyone was overly excited. This excitement ended quickly when everyone realized that Windows Vista was not what everyone thought. However it is a known fact that with nothing new in the operating system market Microsoft has been losing ground to Mac users. Could Windows 7 be the answer to all of Microsoft’s problems? Many PC users fell this is true.

Windows 7 is built off of the same engine as Windows Vista, so there is not that much new. The difference is that Windows 7 leaves a much smaller “footprint” on your computers resources making it less glitchy and able to run more efficiently. Windows 7 plans to have far more support for older machines than Vista had. Hopefully people will not be turned off by the fact that Microsoft is telling everyone that Windows 7 is based off of the same engine that made the horror show, Vista.

Windows 7 is available right now to be downloaded for free! It will only be free for a bit longer and after that it plans to be retailed for about $ 150. This free trial will not work once the full release has been made. The idea behind this free release was to build excitement about the software giant’s new operating system.

Minimal hardware demands are one of the great new inclusions of Windows 7. With this smaller hardware demand Windows 7 has the ability to run on Net books and will be the operating system of choice for net books in the near future. With its slim features and requirement Windows 7 will fit on your modern computer or your almost antique with ease.

The full version of Windows 7 has yet to be released, however when it does look for Microsoft to gain an advantage in the operating system industry.

Windows 7 will be released sometime in 2009. Look for more information about Microsofts newest operating system HERE!
