The amount of cute and cuddly games on the Windows Store is constantly on the rise, with this latest addition being rather interestingly titled. Beyond Ynth has landed on the store, in HD, no less.
This colorfully epic adventure has you playing as Kribl (what is with these names), a little bug on a journey to bring back light to his kingdom. And the game requires you to rotate boxes to advance through the levels — a rather unique mechanism it must be said.
You can rotate the boxes by walking against the left or right side of the wall and pushing it. The developers have also managed to throws in Four Dark Spiders of Apocalypse and Dazzly Diamonds into the mix, to scarily interesting effects. In other words, there is a bit of a cute little story at play here.
Anyway, here is the official description:
“This is the story of Kribl, a little bug on a big journey to bring light back to the Kingdom of Kriblonia. Help him to successfully traverse unexplored terrifying territories and find all the light-giving Dazzly Diamonds that were stolen by the Four Dark Spiders of the Apocalypse!”
Some 80 levels in total are available, making for around 15 hours of fun. The visuals are bright and lively, and the same goes for the soundtrack. It also offers support for Xbox 360 controllers.
This highly rated game retails for $3.49, though a free trial version is available that you can download and take for a test drive. It also supports all types of processors that can run the modern flavors of Windows, including ARM based ones.
