Tired of playing all the cool games that have hit the Windows Store these past few weeks? Time for a business app. Captain Dash is for you, if you analyze marketing data day in and day out.

Online data, that is, from sources like Google Analytics, Twitter, Facebook and more.

It is, as you may have guessed by now a dashboard application for Windows 8 — one of the few that are available on the platform. This free app allows you to aggregate your sources and brings your data in a single, streamlined interface.

Time for the official description:

“Captain Dash enables you to aggregate your data from Google Analytics, Twitter, Facebook, Foursquare and Microsoft Atlas – with more sources to come – to a single platform and produce on-demand, interactive dashboards and KPI to optimize marketing decision making.

Smart data, beautiful infographics and cool interface allow you to enjoy the new business intelligence for Marketers.”

This is not an exclusive app for the Windows platform by any means, it is available on iOS too.

But it does make use of the Metro design language and the UI is through and through Windows 8. Setting up your various accounts is not exactly optimized, though, and will take some time to get right.

Once everything is in, however, things run smooth. And the customization options are unbeatable if you want to get detailed insights. More sources would be much welcome, but considering the price, this is a very good option overall. For all modern versions of Windows, x86, x64 and ARM.
