Mobile platforms are finally starting to catch up to PCs when it comes to deep and engaging RPG games. If you have any interest in titles like Diablo, Torchlight or Path of Exile, then this game is for you.
Dungeon Hunter 4 is your standard top down RPG (role playing game) experience — you select your chosen character class at the beginning, smash and dash through countless enemy monsters, level up along the way as you gain skills and strength, collect loot and then have a final showdown with evil.
If this is your cup of tea, then Gameloft has you covered with this quality new hack and slash action RPG title that has just landed on the Windows Store.
Before we get to the experience, here is the official description:
“The Demons, a race thought to have been extinguished eons ago, have returned. You awaken from what seemed like a nightmare to find your kingdom, Valenthia, decimated. Unharmed from the battle, you are mysteriously gifted with tremendous new power and skills. You could be your people’s only remaining hope….”
The game is free to play, and at over 1 GB, a sizable download, but it looks beautiful and plays fine on most modern configurations. An integrated store is also included that can be used to buy and upgrade virtual items. It also offers multiplayer modes for cooperative action.
All version of Windows 8 are supported (including those based on ARM) and intuitive touch based control ensure smooth operation on tablets like the Surface RT and Surface 2.
