Need some more tower defense in your life. Empire under Fire is a 3D tower defense game that has you preventing hordes of onrushing enemies from reaching a target on the map.
It is a bit of a spin on the traditional tower defense formula.
Four different type of towers can be placed on the map in order to defeat the waves upon waves of enemies the game throws at you. These can then be upgraded, and you also have special powers like attacking your foes with magic, or placing additional soldiers on the battlefield.
A selection from the official description:
“Get ready to defend your empire against hordes of evil! Put your strategic skills to ultimate test. Command your troops to victory!!!”
This free game is nothing, if not amazing to look at. The visuals are out of this world, at least for tower defense titles, and it shows not just in design and detail, but the download too — you are looking at around 636.1 MB of download in order to play the game.
But apart from the presentation, the fun also lies in the variety and settings.
The barracks tower, for example, spawns defenders, while the mage tower does magical attacks. Well worth a try this, if your system can handle it. You need a minimum of 2GB of RAM and at least an Intel HD Graphics 4000 or up graphics chip. For x86, x64 and ARM.
