Disney has unleashed another storm in the Windows Store, this time in the form of an exciting game based on Frozen, its latest box office topping animated flick.

Proof that Disney is one of the most active publishers on Microsoft’s flagship apps repository, Frozen Free Fall is a puzzle game that brings the familiar match three (or more) mechanic in a package that is neatly designed and very well presented.

Before we get to the technical details, the official description:

“Get ready for an epic puzzle matching adventure in the Kingdom of Arendelle , inspired by the newest Disney animated film, Frozen! Join Anna, Elsa, and more of your favorite characters on a journey to slide and match 75 icy puzzles for free!”

The game offers plenty of levels for players to match their way to success. You will need to match at least three crystals in either direction to remove them — and special crystals are available if four or five of the same colors are matched.

Frozen Free Fall screams authenticity, being an official app and all, and fans of the film (young ones in particular) will enjoy the simple pick and play gameplay.

This free game comes with integrated SkyDrive connectivity ensuring the game progress is saved and synced across all Windows 8.1 devices, even Windows 8 phones. Speaking of which, the game supports Microsoft’s modern platform on all processors, even ARM based ones.
