The fact that there is an abundance of racing games on the Windows Store should come as no surprise, considering the fast pick and play action these type of titles offer to users.
And one of the better ones available is GT Racing 2: The Real Car Experience.
Published by Gameloft, this game goes all out for an authentic racing experience with 67 different cars from 35 manufacturers like Ferrari, Dodge, Mercedes-Benz and Audi available for purchase. These vehicles can then be upgraded to improve speed, acceleration, handling and breaks, and so on.
The concise official description is an experience in itself:
“GT Racing 2: The Real Car Experience is a true-to-life automotive journey featuring the most prestigious cars in the world!”
You start with a limited amount of money, good enough to purchase Class F cars like the Fiat 500 or the Alfa Romeo Mito — still racing worthy vehicles in their own rights. Faster cars can then be acquired by either winning races, or with premium currency available via in-app purchases.
Vehicle customization options are not exhaustive, but you do get to tinker under the hood.
Multiplayer mode is fanciful, and so is the sheer variety of events, no less than 1,400 of which are available. This free game does support ARM based versions of Windows, but the system requirements for the x86 and x64 versions start at 2GB of RAM and DirectX 11 level graphics.
