With an icon inspired directly from the popular video streaming service, this popular app brings pretty much all popular music artists and bands to the Metro interface of your Windows 8 device, and does so with a distinct style.

The official description keeps things nice and simple:

“MusicTube is a free YouTube music video player! It’s like Spotify, YouTube and all together! Powered by and YouTube.”

And the same can be said of the application itself.

With a plain and understated Metro inspired user interface, this free app puts the focus on videos, and is simple controls make navigation and discovery faster and easier.

The latest version that was just released fixes issues with VEVO videos.

And it also brings some new buttons to play top tracks, albums and artists. Support for all modern versions of Windows on the market is on offer, including the touch optimized Windows RT that powers Surface RT and Surface 2 tablets.
