It’s not the easiest thing in the world to better a proven concept. Reckless Jack doesn’t necessarily does that for the endless running genre, but it does tighten things up a little.

In case you didn’t get it, this game is one of the hardest running games that you’ll ever play.

For starters, there’s so much going on that you’ll have to be on your best to keep on running and avoiding crashing into the obstacles that litter the streets. And boy, the game throws everything at you, and then some.

More, after the official description:

“Swipe to turn, jump and slide to avoid obstacles, collect coins, see how far you can run! You can also use arrow/wasd keys to control Jack.”

As noted above, the game comes with touch controls, as well as support for the WASD keys on your keyboard. And it allows you to change lanes, jump or slide when and where necessary.

The game is from the developers of Empire Under Fire, another tough tower defense title. So if you’re up for some challenge, this free game is a good bet. Others might want to give it a try too, though it can be just a little frustrating sometimes. Supports x86, x64 and ARM versions of Windows.
