Fans, and users, of Windows 8.1 based PCs and tablets now have another addictive game to play on the platform. BBC have very recently launched Top Gear: Race The Stig on the Windows Store.

This free, and seemingly popular, game is a casual title through and through.

You collect items to achiever a better score, as you soar over traffic, and once you have compiled a high enough number, there are several social networks on which you can post your scores. Essentially, a fun way to compete against friends.

The official description:

“Think you’ve got what it takes to Race The Stig and win? Dodge traffic, jump caravans and speed through famous Top Gear locations in an epic race that will push you to your limits as you go head-to-head with The Stig. The white coated Top Gear producers have challenged you to drive against Top Gear’s very own tame racing driver.”

Apart from the delightfully enticing price of free, the best thing about this title are the visuals — colorful and cartoony, and the customizable helmets are just out of this world.

You get to race in iconic vehicles from the show, in key locations, and regular updates add new elements and dimensions to what is a fun, and very appealing addition to the platform. Give it a try now, on all versions of Windows 8, including ARM based tablets.
