Another creatively named app, Triangula bring a classic paper game to your screen, and it does so in style. The gameplay dynamics are simple enough that you will be instantly hooked.
But this is the type of puzzle game that is easy to learn but hard to master.
The goal is to fill out the game board by completing the triangles by joining the dots. Players can join two dots each turn, and if a triangle is created, it is filled in their color. You need to draw another line then, and continue until the board is filled.
The official description couldn’t be shorter:
“Triangula is a fun and smart take on the classic paper-and-pencil game Dots and Boxes.”
But fire up the game and you can instantly see just how well designed, and playable it is. The visuals have that necessary polish, and the computer AI is smart enough to make you have to plan your moves two or three steps back.
This free game offers a variety of grid sizes to go with different skill levels. Choose anything higher than the easiest difficulty, and you will have to bring the A game to earn a win.
All flavors of Windows 8.1 are supported, including those designed for ARM processors.
