Gameloft has just launched another one of its popular titles on the Windows Store. This time the entire world has gone cuckoo, and is at an all-out war. So what’s new, then?

This exciting war simulation game combines rich visuals and stunning animations with a surprisingly deep tactical gameplay. You have plenty of units and buildings at your disposal, and are tasked with managing units, facilities and offensives.

Even the official description sounds exhilarating:

“LOCK AND LOAD! The evil KRA forces have attacked our nation, threatening the entire free world! As one of the greatest military leaders on Earth, you must take action to save us all!

In this free-to-play all-out modern-war strategy game, you will battle across the globe, in the sea’s depths, on the ground, and in the air, following a deep solo campaign and fighting in an exciting multiplayer mode. Take advantage of the rich social features to find allies and chat to devise a cunning battle plan, for free! Join or create your own Faction to combine forces!”

You get to engage in immersive battles across the globe on different terrains (desert, urban and underwater). It is not entirely tactical though — there are strategy elements involved, as you collect resources, build and upgrade units, and construct facilities.

A variety of free bonuses are also available when specific missions are completed.

This free to play game may be heavy on content, but it is still a casual title, and comes in at a manageable 201.4 MB download size. Support for both desktops and tablets running Microsoft’s new operating system is offered, including ARM based devices.
