Windows 8.1 App Watch: Zombie Tsunami

There are some that believe that there just aren’t enough zombie games around. I am sure the developer behind this title hold the same view, because like it or not, here is another zombie game.

Already available on other platforms, the intriguingly titled, Zombie Tsunami, throws more than 300 missions your way, whereby you have to create a horde of undead and keep it moving — as long as at least one zombie is running, you are in business.

Here is the official description:

“The zombies are revolting! In Zombie Tsunami, take your place in a crowd of rampaging undead as you race through the city attacking the unfortunate survivors and adding them to your unstoppable throng of hungry, hot-footed horrors. It’s a Zombie Tsunami out there, and everyone is invited!”

An interesting concept, agreed. You obviously start with one zombie (patient zero, if you will) and have to run through the street, chase down others and turn them into fellow undead.

You get 9 varied and vibrant world locations to wade through, all richly designed with a distinct clay style. There are vehicles that can be turned over in order to get to (and eat) the survivors inside, and multiple power ups and bonuses keep things interesting.

This highly rated game is available for free, and comes with support for all versions of Windows, including those designed for ARM based tablets. Works best with touch, but mouse is mighty fine too.

Zombie Tsunami! Cute name and cool concept. All of it for free and based of the ratings and description, it’s a steal. Thanks for spotlighting! 🙂

Sounds fun. A little confusing without seeing the visuals, but I’ll check it out. The zombies look like Mike Wazowski of Monster’s Inc. HA!

I can’t tell if this is a shooter/arcade type of game or a running (temple run) type of game. Either way, it looks interesting enough for me to want to download. As you said, it’s free, so it’s at least worth a download.

Graphics look pretty nice. I’m going to download this and play at some point this week. I know it’ll be enjoyable at first, but I hope it has some staying power.

Looks great to me. I like what I just read and I’ve heard great things from other people I’ve asked about it. A definite download from me.
