Windows 8.1 build 9385 may already be available to select Microsoft partners

That may be the build string of the latest version of Microsoft’s Windows Blue (8.1).

Speculation has it that this build is right in the middle of Milestone 2 and pre-beta development stage. Some are indicating that this means Microsoft are on track to deliver Windows 8.1 at BUILD 2013 this year.

Now apparently 9385 is being distributed to Microsoft Partners on the Microsoft Partner Network.

What’s new in this build? Who the hell knows but the web being what it is I am sure we’ll find out pretty soon.

Here’s a screenshot allegedly showing the new build.

Microsoft Quarterly Earnings Call Set For This Thursday

Just bring “start button” back, you’ll perfect.

    • Riccardo Belletti

OMG people can be REALLY annoying… have you ever noticed that strange button between “ctrl” and “alt” on your keyboard? it’s even faster to reach rather than moving the mouse!!!!!

      • Random dude

OMG did you notice that button also opens METRO crap and not actual start..screw metro

        • TD Grae

Man I don’t fucking get the crap that metro gets.
What does the start menu do? Put commonly used items in one area. Huh, SO DOES METRO but it does so with Live Tile which in fact shows much more information without opening a program like in 7.
“Well metro can’t show all my programs at once like the start menu!” Maybe if you’d click the “show all apps” button it bloody would.
“Well it only works good on touchscreens.” That’s because you’re too fucking ignorant to know any keyboard shortcuts that it’s littered with.
People are afraid of change. If you really want your precious bloody start button GO BACK TO WINDOWS 7 WHILE YOU STILL CAN. They’re finally cutting the cord on XP (goddamn that took long enough) and 7 will only be a few years behind.

I don’t’ have any problem with the Start button as I didn’t use it much, I prefer to use shortcode rather than mouse.
