Windows 8.1 Update 1 Leaks Again, Here Are The Official Links

It is not often that an operating system leaks twice, but Microsoft has once again brought back the goodness, by putting up the download links to Windows 8.1 Update 1.

According to this report, you will need to install six different updates in the correct order to successfully deploy this new pack of improvements on your computer. These leaks are available for all supported platforms โ€” x86, x64 and ARM based builds of the OS.

Redmond is shipping these updates in the form of MSU installers, as was the case last time around, and all you need to start installation is double-clicking to open the files. Reboots necessary in most instances.

Here it the correct order, with download links:

Windows 8.1 Update 1 x86

KB2919442
KB2939087
KB2919355
KB2932046
KB2938439
KB2937592

Windows 8.1 Update 1 x64

KB2919442
KB2939087
KB2919355
KB2932046
KB2938439
KB2937592

Windows 8.1 Update 1 ARM

KB2919442
KB2939087
KB2919355
KB2932046
KB2938439
KB2937592

No confirmation whatsoever that these files are from the final RTM version of Windows 8.1 Update 1, or Microsoft is just carrying out another test before launching the final product.

In any case, this looks like an improved version of the previous leak.

And since these are available on the official servers, there should be no issues with security. However, the company is expected to start shipping this new version via Patch Tuesday on April 8. MSDN subscribers will reportedly get access to these at the start of next month.

So get those download engines started if you want to deploy this newest flavor of Windows.

6 versions in order is too much! It’s making my head hurt. lol. I’m glad this looks like an improved version, but I’m going to wait a bit until it’s a little more simple than 6 in a row.

    • Rodney Longoria

Yeppers, especially since the OFFICIAL release is only a couple of weeks away. ๐Ÿ™‚

      • Ted Smith

I’m with you guys! I’ll wait a couple weeks and save myself 6 separate downloads! ha!

  • Fahad Ali

Yeah, I’m with you guys, waiting for the officially OFFICIAL links!

  • Ray C

Is this a later build than the previous one?

    • Fahad Ali

In all probability it should be, otherwise why bother putting them up again. Besides, there were reports that the previous one was not actually the final RTM version, so.

      • Bill Franklin

You’re right, Fahad. It wouldn’t be the first time a company tried to shine crap into gold, but there’s no point in putting this out with the official release so close unless it’s a later build.

The last four links under x64 gave a 404 error ๐Ÿ™

If this is true, then I’m definitely with the majority. I’m just going to wait until this is officially released. it is not worth the risk at this point.

Just send it out if it’s done. Why wait until April?? MS makes me scratch my head sometimes. fIrst they barely announce they are doing it at all then they leak their own stuff like they are trying to beat leakers and have a laugh. I wouldn’t be surprised if windows 9 gets leaked by them in April.. only to be pulled for the end of the year haha.
