Windows 8.1 Update 2 Unveil Reportedly Set For Next Month

When it comes to Microsoft events, the Worldwide Partner Conference is right below the BUILD developer conference in esteem. Countless hardware and software partners attend this revered annual gathering.

And this year, the WPC 2014 is set for July 13.

While the software titan has been quietly working on the second update for Windows 8.1, the leak scene has been rather silent when it comes to details and screenshots.

Forget early builds, details about what exactly Windows 8.1 Update 2 brings would be welcome.

Luckily, Russian leak group WZOR is on top of things, and believes that Microsoft is ready to unveil this new version of the operating system at WPC 2014, next month. We only have a tweet to go around here, but from the more reliable of sources.

Additionally, there is talk that this upcoming event could also witness the debut of the beta version of Windows 9 — farfetched as it may sound.

Nothing has been confirmed so far, so take this at face value until we hear something more official. Or you know, from other reliable sources as we move closer to the July 13 event.

That means there’s a chance we get the start menu back in a month. May be a pipe dream, but I would love that.

Yes, can we have the Start Menu back already? If 9 SM looks like what they unveiled at Build 2014, I will sorely be disappointed. Give us the Build 2014 SM and wow us with something cooler in 9!

I’m still failing to see the obsession with the start menu. I thought it was pretty much accepted that it probably won’t be back til Update 3

Enough already about the damn start menu. We don’t need it.
