OK, so I feel like some fun this month.

I know this is a Windows 8 blog but I came into some money and I feel the need to share the love for the next few months.

Here’s the deal.

For the next three months –March, April and May, I’ll be giving away one free Apple Ipad 2 to a reader of this blog.

Read more about the Apple Ipad 2 here…

What do you have to do to enter? You need to do one of two things…

  1. Purchase a copy of Uniblue’s Speed Up My PC.SpeedUpMyPC scans your computer to identify the processes, files and settings that are slowing you down, before wielding a powerful range of tools to optimize your system for improved performance. Your network settings, RAM and CPU function are all scanned, cleaned and tuned for speed, while junk files are deleted for space. The result is a computer that works faster and better. If you purchase it from this link and send me your order number at sweepstakes8(at)nnigma(dot)com, you will be entered TWICE into the sweepstakes or..
  2. You can read this blog and leave 4 comments on 4 different posts/stories. Make sure you enter your email address and make sure the comments are witty and smart. You automatically get entered that way.

I will be announcing the winners of the sweepstakes at the end of each month so you have some time.

You can do both for more chances to win…

I will be deciding each month’s winners on the 29th of each month..

Good luck!

Thanks for the excellent service you are providing for the online community of people that want to know the latest and most accurate information of technological companies. I only have to say that, while the Ipad is a nice technological tool, I prefer to use a Laptop for everything, so that for USD$ 600 I can read email, view videos, listen to music, read books, access the apple store (with Itunes), make documents, presentations and calls, every task with just one tool… But of course that if you like to give me a free Ipad, I won´t say no to you.

Greetings from Costa Rica, [email protected].

  4. wow…it shocked me when i saw this..how weird is it that a windows 8 blog was sharing something about apple. hahahah..
Well, its not about shared or not. Techonology is all about sharing with each other. am i right? =)
Btw..really thanks for all the info that u’re providing…it was like almost everyday, the first thing i did when i went online, was check on my email!! i really cant wait for the windows 8! >.<

    Greetings from Malaysia, [email protected]

  5. ipad2 wow….paricipating…..may luck favours me……

  6. Very nice of you to offer several iPad 2’s to your readers. I’m sure some of them are going to be scratching their heads about the blog subject: Windows 8 iPad 2 Sweepstakes 🙂

Seriously, my kids have iPads and love them. In the well known TV Ad, I’d be the ‘PC’ guy, and have hesitated to embrace Apple products. But almost anyone would have to admit that their designs are superlative. And, so far, like with the iPhone, they’re way out front with their tablet product. The iPad 2 has some great new features (2 cameras, faster processor, same 10 hr battery life; and a Very cool screen cover/stand. Good job, Apple. You competition has their work cut out for them.

Is this contest available to participants from other countries (namely, the Philippines) ? Im crossing my fingers!!

  8. I would love an IPAD 2 i think it would be great im always on the road out the office and perfect for architects in general as we always on the road to a site i would love one.

    [email protected]

  9. Great im always out the office this would work brilliant with my line of work

  10. Woaaaah, this is nice! 😀 I really want that Ipad 2, i’ve always been staring at others’ ipads… Which was a bit frustrating.

I am learning through my desktop. I will be learning through IPAD 2 more if I am lucky. Because I can carry my computer every where I go with me.

  12. That is awesome. I would love an iPad2. I wonder if there will ever be a comparable windows version that someone produces. I read that Tegra makes one but unfortunately the windows isn’t completely touch friendly.

  13. There are a whole host of competitors out there readying a storm of tablet offerings based on Windows, and also Android platforms. So far, the top contenter is Motorola’s Xoom. There is good writeup on the Xoom on Zdnet at:
….but the ‘bottom line’, in my opinion, is that Apple has a long lead, not only on technology/feature set, but also on price.
The competition is going to have do some kind of magic to catch Apple in both categories.
iPad 2 goes on sale tomorrow. I’ll be interested in the reviews, which I anticipate should start hitting the web within hours of the launch.
However, I’d be surprised if the reviews are anything but superlative. Even Microsoft can learn from Apple’s ‘product execution’ abilities.

  14. great competition, would love an ipad, especially for my studies! Would also love to give developing a few small ipad apps a go to earn a little extra money, since im lately a little broke :}.

  15. thats awesome.

  16. Ipad 2. i was dreaming of it. thats great… may luck favours me.

  17. Ah, today is the day; iPad 2 is on sale. Delivery times (for online orders) has jumped to 2-3 weeks !
First looks and reviews are good.
Here’s one by the Wall St Journal’s Walt Mossberg:
I think there are some features still missing from the iPad (memory card slot, 4G connectivity), but I also agree with Walt that iPad 2 is a fine tablet for most anyone.

One interesting thing about iPad 2 is the available screen cover (which replaces the iPad case).
Although it only covers the screen, it also turns the iPad on/off as you uncover/cover the screen. And you can still fold it back to form a vertical/horizontal stand. And, it’s held in place by aligning with magnets built into the iPad. Pretty clever 🙂

  18. A very nice way for making the blog most interactive one 🙂
I loved the idea….when people are looking for free ipads…you are the one helping them out to win those…cool….god bless you….

  19. I still use a phone from 05, I would just love to win this so I could send to my son that will be starting college soon to work w/kids that have disabilities

  20. I came to this website from Windows7update.com. I must say that you have covered each and every feature of windows7 on that website in detail. I hope you will do the same on this website too.

I am 51 and going back to get my degree before I die, and while attending school had to learn how to fix my computer. I did not intend to take a crash course in this, but now value the info I learned. Not only that there were messages everyday from Microsoft over some type of error and my machine asked me if I wanted to send the results to Microsoft. Now, I am reading all I can about OS, and programs and will soon build my own computer just because I know I can, now!

Thank you Windows 7 (Windos Heaven) now I dont have to fix my computer and can devote my time to study. I wished I would have learned on Windows 7 instead of another version. I wish I could afford to be a “geek”, and would love it.

  22. The most wonderful equipment ever born in the world…. a gift sent from heaven to us. I would love to have it.

  23. Soooooooooooo much awesome….. like a happiness in our pocket

  24. Best gift any youngster would dream from their parents

  25. The one having it has everything and the one not having it has nothing

  26. iPad2 is a smart choice in this scenario. Though there are some better choices in the market but iPad is iPad 😉

  27. I would like an iPad because then I could browse windows8update from the comfort of my sofa 😉 lol.

  28. Well, if it doesn’t work out to solve my computing dilemmas, at least I can use it to slice bread.

  29. Now that iPad 2 has been out for several weeks, has anyone bought one? ….or gone to an Apple store to try one out??
I visited an Apple store recently and got to use an iPad 2. I liked the cameras and the Apps to use them. There is a ‘Photobooth’ App that lets you take photos and do special effects. It worked well and was fun. I didn’t run any heavy duty Apps, so I couldn’t tell how much faster the iPad 2 is, but it was plenty performant. Also, the new cover/stand is a clever little piece of engineering. Good job, Apple.

  30. Onuora,

Have you announced a winner for March’s iPad??

  31. Just out of curiosity, when do we find out who the lucky winner was for March?

  32. would love an ipad for my 40th birthday coming up but here is to dreams

  33. love the ipad2 seen one in action looks great

  34. also can not wait to see what windows8 is like hope a beta is released soon

  35. Onuora,
I’m not seeing the posts from the iPad winner, Rebecca Taylor.
I was wanting to look at some of them to see the quality/quantity of her posts.

  36. well had a look a screenies of windows 8 and what i have read so far looks great lets hope they fixed the unidenfied network issue which is a pain.mind you an ipad 1 or 2 would help out loads lol

1.Google Vice Pres. states that 60%of businesses could immediately replace their windows with computers running Chrome OS.
I thought this was suppose to be talking about Windows 8 not Chrome OS, how are some of us idots suppose to learn all of this. We didn’t get the chance to go to college and we are getting older, things should be easier. LOL
    2. A new feature that will be in Windows 8 is handwriting Recognition!!
I thought computer was suppose to take away from handwriting, what the heck are they trying to do to us. We learn one way on Windows 7 and now 8 is we don’t type we just write???
    3. Reset Button in windows 8 that you can push a button to reset windows to factory conditions but leaves user files in place.
Have to say this one interests me, love to know how in the world they will be able to do this? There has to be glitches in this. How many times do I need to reset my button. Just give me an iPad2 and I will keep my Windows 7 and be happy and old.LOL
4.Windows 8 one of 10 Technologies that will define 2011, designed to be used to run against iPhone and Chrome OS.
To me I am more confused than I ever was. Why do we keep changing Windows when it is doing great now. If it ain’t broke then why do we have to change it. I just bought Windows 7 this yr. and now windows 8 tablet is coming out. It makes me not want to buy another computer because my brain cannot keep up with all of this. I am an average person that does well on a computer but adding all this confusion and changes will take me another yr to try to catch up and guess what? Windows 9 will then be out. When will this ever end??? Like I said just let me win the iPad2 and I will stay with that and my Windows 7 and not fry my brain out. I am disabled physically not mentally, but this is starting to make my brain hurt.

Like your site and thanks for all of the blogs and post that I got to read for I am more confused than I have ever been. Who said 50 was easy?? [email protected]

    • windows is not doing great now…
my motorola defy with android (2.3.5) make a laugh at windows…
why do i have to wait for my browser to launch? why do i have to wait 3-5 seconds for a stupid right click?(not always but after some time not right clicking windows “forgets” how to do it!)
why isn’t the interface smooth and fun to use?(ie no momentum scroilling no drag to scroll stupid explorer)
why is the system so slow doing basic stuff?(what.. quad core and a 470gtx isn’t enough for you? it sure is ebough for my high end gaming!)
win 7 is great but i wait for 8 to be snappy responsive and modern!

  41. In fact if i owned one i would be a somebody ….

  42. Joyce McDaniel / May 17, 2011 at 5:27 pm /Reply

This would be a dream come true for me.  I have entered over 200 contests just for an iPad2 but I am never lucky enough to win anything. I keep trying and maybe this will be the one.    I could really use this for I am disabled and having one of these I could learn so much and keep my mind off of pain.  I love Microsoft 7 and cannot wait for Microsoft 8.
