With Windows 8, Microsoft introduced a newway of changing the lock screen background.

Earlier versions of Windows did not have this feature.

Changing the Windows 8 lock screen background is a fairly easy and simple procedure.

The best part is that you can use a custom background image.

To change the lock screen background, Just take the cursor of your mouse to the upper right corner and wait for the charms bar to appear. Then go to the settings charm and select the Settings charm.

Then a new menu will pop up.

Now, select Change PC Settings option.

Selecting the option will launch metro Control Panel. Then, go to Personalize menu and select Lock Screen option which is available on the right side.

Here a few images are available by default.

You can either select one from them or you can click the Browse button and select your desired image.

As soon as you select the image, your lock screen image will change instantly.

The best part is that the same image will roam to all the devices in which you log in with your Microsoft account.

Do you know how to set the lock screen image when no user is logged on?  The default one is nice, but it would be great to change it.
