Microsoft have confirmed that the Windows Phone Lumia Denim update is now waiting for carrier approval, meaning the refresh could be here anytime now.
The official word is still soon — we don’t have a set date or anything.
But this much is confirmed that the new version is now ready and raring to go, after all the necessary testing and refinements. In a very short tweet posted on the official Lumia account, Microsoft revealed that this update is now awaiting carrier approval.
@CreativeColon It will roll out soon following testing and operator approvals! 🙂

Details have been scarce on Lumia Denim, ever since Microsoft confirmed that the update would be made available for download sometimes in the last quarter of the year. With December now almost here, it seems, so is the new release.
The company seems to have completed work on this version, and that’s always a good sign.
Sources close to the matter have hinted that Lumia Denim will first and foremost be made available on flagship devices, like the Lumia 930 and the Lumia 1520.
Depending on how fast carriers and networks actually test and approve the upgrade, it appears that a lot of the users will only be getting it next year in January. At least, most of those with budget handsets, which there are many.
This is an anticipated release, though, so the sooner the better.
Among other things, Lumia Denim brings Cortana to more users, including those in Australia, Canada and India, as well as features like Live Folders, Apps Corner, SMS merge and forwarding, consumer VPN, a Store Live Tile and various enhancements to the bundled web browser, Internet Explorer.
