Another great catch by Windows8Italia.

They found a couple of XBOX related strings of code deep in the Windows 8 kernel.

  • XBOX_360_SYSTEM_CRASH
  • XBOX_360_SYSTEM_CRASH_RESERVED

These strings seem to be related to system error codes and are not present in Windows 7.

It is still unclear what this might mean.

What is clear is that the Xbox/Windows 8 integration talk is more fact than fiction. We just don’t know at what level.
